Spillit: Field Trip
Hear the stories of educators and raise a toast to the 2025 New Memphis Educators of Excellence winners! Join New Memphis and Spillit for a Center Stage event – an evening of stories from educators that speak to the theme, “Field Trip.”

This free event is open to all community members – you do not need to be an educator to attend! Light refreshments and drinks will be provided. We hope you come celebrate the start of a new school year with us by listening to these powerful stories and celebrating our new winners.
Storytellers include:
- Josie Grooms (they/them), MLL Specialist at Compass Hickory Hill
- Kerrith D. Griffin, Chief Academic and Operations Officer at University Schools
- Shatoria Douglas (she/her), 4th grade teacher at Crump Elementary
- Will Jarvis (he/him), 10th and 11th Grade Biology Teacher at Overton High School
