sex/work
sex/work

An (almost) thirty-year-old virgin; a wife and mother who works as an escort; an aging
conservative news anchor; and a stripper who steals phones endure their lives without fully
knowing how to be “women” by the worldly definition. Though they all explore this concept and
the transactional benefits and hurdles of one’s actions, Emma, who is approaching thirty like a
freight train ready to derail, seems to struggle more than most. sex/work is an exploration of
what happens when a young woman, desperate to forge a true connection that feels real, is
forced to navigate a world built on transactions.
