Get ready to unleash your inner scientist while exploring the best playground in the Southeast. Join University of Memphis’s CAESAR for free hands-on science experiments and water activities monthly on Saturdays from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the playground in Tom Lee Park. It’s scientifically proven fun for all ages! 

See what’s in store below:

  • Saturday, March 8 – Kick off Groundwater Awareness Week by making your own edible aquifer in a cup.
  • Saturday, April 12 – Celebrate Children and Nature Awareness Month by crafting a water cycle bracelet.
  • Saturday, May 10  – It’s Wetlands Month! Explore a watershed model and play an estuary game. This event is held at River Garden (51 Riverside Dr) due to festivals in Tom Lee Park.
  • Saturday, June 21 – Celebrate National Rivers Month with a lesson on streams.
  • Saturday, July 12 – Did you know that July is Smart Irrigation Month? Put your skills to the test with a fun water conservation game.
