Rylee’s Run 5k
Rylee’s Run 5k is an annual charity run benefitting Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and is organized by local non-profit River City for Itty Bitties (RIBS). Participants will walk or run on a flat, circular route along the road and pathways of the Mike Rose Soccer Complex, and when they cross the finish line inside the stadium, they’ll enjoy pasta from Venice Kitchen and beer from Grind City Brewing.
The run commemorates the life of Rylee Rae Vinson, who was born August 16, 2007, at thirty-two weeks and passed away eight days later due to complications of premature birth. Rylee’s parents, Jason and Jessica Vinson, established the RIBS soccer tournament and Rylee’s Run 5k to help raise money for the charities that have meant to much to them over the last several years – specifically, LeBonheur’s Neuroscience Institute and their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
