An American Fanfare – Celebrate the richness of the American experience through these four American voices. The concert opens with fanfares written by living American composers, Joan Tower and Adolphus Hailstork, and ends with Aaron Copland’s Third Symphony, based on his famous “Fanfare for the Common Man”. Charlie Albright (virtuosic pianist, composer and improviser) performs Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody, premiered in the US over a decade after he emigrated to the United States
