Pieced Together: Collage and Quilting Workshop

In this class, enjoy a guided viewing of the exhibition ‘Of Salt and Spirit: Black Quilters in the American South’. Then take your inspiration to the studio where instructor Britt Herring will guide you through creating painted collage materials to cut-up and assemble in your own quilt inspired pieces. Learn about mono-printing with gel plates, stamping, and dynamic mark-making techniques, all while playing with pattern and finding out what stories pattern can tell. All materials provided. No previous skills necessary, just a zeal for creating.
