Four people in colorful costumes holding the Colombian flag in a forest-themed setting, reminiscent of a vibrant Cazateatro performance. One person, holding a book, adds an intellectual flair to this lively scene.

Peanut Butter & Jam: Cazateatro’s Roja

Peanut Butter & Jam: Cazateatro’s Roja

Saturday, September 14, at 10:30 AM in the Watkins Studio Theater at GPAC.

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can!

La Abuela Tomasa will tell us a well-known fairy tale but with Latin flavor. Roja is a little girl who lives in a small town in Colombia and wants to visit her sick abuela and bring her some healthy food to make her feel better. Along the way, she meets the Dancing Wolf, who tries to convince her to give up her healthy diet and join him in eating chips and soda. Little Roja must face the challenge and help her new friend to make good eating choices.

Now in its 29th season, this program introduces children ages 8 and under to a variety of genres including music, dance, and multicultural arts in an informal concert setting.  Parents and children are invited to move and groove in these highly interactive performances held on scheduled Saturdays in the Watkins Studio Theater or on the main stage.

The event is finished.
