Our Stories Matter Laps-for-Literacy is a fundraiser hosted by Black Children’s Books and Authors (BCBA), a Memphis nonprofit. BCBA’s mission is to promote awareness of children’s and young adult literature by Black authors. Proceeds from our walk will benefit Books-to-You (BTY). BTY seeks to provide free books by Black authors to children in the community.
Join us on the Bert Ferguson Park Walking Trail, 8505 Trinity Road.
Everyone is welcome—all book lovers and those who want to spread the joy of reading to children and teens!
Free books by Black authors will be available to children in attendance (while supplies last).
