Our Stories Matter Laps-for-Literacy Walkathon

Come walk around the park with us at the new Raleigh Springs Civic Center Skate Park!

The Our Stories Matter Laps-for-Literacy is a fundraiser hosted by Black Children’s Books and Authors (BCBA). Our mission is to promote awareness of children’s and young adult literature by Black authors. 

Proceeds from the walkathon will benefit our Books-to-You (BTY). 

BTY seeks to provide free books by Black authors to children in the community. 

BTY wants to foster the joy and importance of reading by providing books for children to have and enjoy at home.

Free books will be available to children in attendance (while supplies last)

Registration (fee includes event tee*) 

Adults: $35.00

School Youth: $20.00

FREE for school Youth  (event tee not included)

*Must register by October 21st to get an event tee. 

Same-day registrants are welcome but not guaranteed an event tee
