We are thrilled to bring Once On This Island Jr. to the Hattiloo Theatre. This inspiring, family-friendly musical celebrates love, resilience, and community that is showcased by our talented HBCU students from Clark-Atlanta University, Jackson State University, Alabama State University, and LeMoyne-Owen College.
Once on This Island Jr. tells the story of Ti Moune, a young girl who falls in love with Daniel, a wealthy boy from a different part of the island, in a Caribbean-inspired fairy tale. Ti Moune’s journey is one of love, loss, and ultimately, the power of love to transcend social barriers. This musical, adapted for young audiences, highlights the strength of love and its ability to overcome prejudice.
