On Being Human: Works by David Mah

September 8 from 6-8 pm at 85 Virginia Ave West will be the debut of a new body of work by David Mah entitled On Being Human. Some 18 months after his blockbuster success with Days Like These, Mah has created an entirely new body of work that broadens the view of the human experience from pandemic isolation to the challenges and joys of people of all ages in a variety of situations.

Where ever there are people there are stories, and lines of text are not necessarily needed to convey them. The 30 or so paintings in this show connect viewers with passion and compassion, empathy and experience, in color palettes ranging from bright to muted.

The show will be on display at the newly renovated Medicine Factory. The opening weekend will have hours on Friday night, 9/8, 6-8 pm, Saturday, 9/9 , 11am – 2 pm,  with additional viewing by appointment through 9/17.
