Munch and Learn: Why So Small?

Why So Small? with Jennifer Watson, Mallory/Wurtzburger featured artist.

Jennifer Watson’s latest exhibition “Small Spaces” runs Jan. 26 – April 13, 2025 and showcases her vibrant, kaleidoscopic paintings that blend enameled copper sculptures with intricate geometries, organic forms, and metallic details. After a 30-year hiatus from art, Watson rediscovered her passion through enameling, transforming her work into a celebration of imperfection and self-expression. Her pieces invite slow looking, revealing the beauty in inexact symmetry and the significance of small spaces—now visual rather than personal—as intricate shapes and details that fuse together to form a richer, more complex whole.

Note: Wednesdays can be especially busy at Dixon’s cafe, Park & Cherry. If you’re attending Munch and Learn, please plan ahead and place your lunch orders early. To reduce disruptions during the lecture, guests are asked to bring their own food from the cafe to the auditorium. You may request to-go containers to make the trip to your seat easier. Pre-order by calling (901) 312-1277.
