If you “gotta have that funk,” come out to the Mothership Connection Market & More!                                        Saturday 12 July 2025 * 4pm until 10pm * 495 N Hollywood St. *free entry*family-friendly*indoors*

The event motif is 1970s funk, with a special focus on Parliament-Funkadelic, aka Pfunk. Reflecting themes of Black pride, Egyptian mythology, Black power, and transcendent joy, funk is an irrepressible genre of music and being.

Vendor offerings confirmed thus far include handmade jewelry, natural body products, stained glass, organic premium bbq sauces, herbal remedies & tinctures, paintings, stickers, tarot readings, and divination candles. Many of our vendors are creating special artworks and items just for this event, aligned with the theme of 1970s funk and inspired by their own intuitions.

While the focus will be on shopping at our incredible vendor market, we’ll still tear the roof off the sucka’ with music from DJ Cody Little from 6-10pm and Soul Train lines at 6pm and 8pm! Feel free to dress up in clothes reflecting the period of the 1970s when funk music reigned supreme.

We’ll have some drinks specially created for the occasion, also including natural juices and homemade herbal tea blends. The Lost Vegan food truck will be providing delicious, gourmet vegan specialties, and we will also have a bakery vendor (to be announced).
