Meet the Roaster with Cxffeeblack
Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis and Caption by Hyatt are celebrating and honoring Black History Month by highlighting and supporting local black-owned businesses in Memphis, while giving back to the community. Throughout February, the hotels will showcase a curated selection of products, providing guests with a unique opportunity to explore and appreciate the vibrant offerings of the local black entrepreneurial community. Through this collective effort, we are not only celebrating Black History Month but are also making a lasting impact on the socio-economic fabric of the Memphis community.
Cxffeeblack was founded by Bartholomew Jones and Renata Henderson with the purpose to reinstate the origin, purpose and integrity of cxffee through the knowledge of its Black history and being a part of its Black future. The name, “Cxffeeblack” started as a musical metaphor that Bartholomew used to interconnect cxffee and Blackness. He wanted all people to being seeing themselves as the way God intended us to be, without all of the cream and sugar of the world; but just but just you, beautifully, unique, and Black. The intentional “x” instead of the traditional “o” represents the missing variable in all of us, the part of the equation that requires us to be unique in our humanity, in order to help solve the problem that divides us.
Join us for a special “Meet the Roaster” event at Talk Shop, where you will sip Cxffeeblack and have the opportunity to learn more about the origin of Cxffeeblack and how their coffee is roasted.
In addition to our special events, Cxffeeblack will be served in Talk Shop throughout the month of February.
