Join the Metal Museum and 2023 Master Metalsmith Rachelle Thiewes for a Virtual Artist Talk on Thursday, January 25 at 12PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from Thiewes live, and learn more about her career, artwork, and influences!

Rachelle Thiewes is an artist based in the Chihuahuan desert of West Texas, where she creates jewelry that is designed to engage and challenge the wearer, making them an active participant, an initiator of sounds and body rhythms. Light, movement, sound, order and chaos are integral elements of her work. The Master Metalsmith series honors the most influential metal artists of the day. In the years since its inception, it has brought the work of more than 30 internationally acclaimed metalsmiths to Memphis for solo exhibitions.
