Mahjong at the Museum: Lessons and Open Play

Join Cassie Lazzo, The Mahjologist, for a lesson on how to play American Mahjong at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art! American Mahjong is an adapted version of the ancient tile game Mahjong which originated in China. It is complex, addicting, and FUN! The Mahjong Line has revamped the game by making beautiful tiles and accessories. Since then, the game has exploded and is spreading rapidly across the nation. Reserve your spot today to learn this ancient game with new friends! Please select EITHER Lessons or Open Play as they will be happening simultaneously.

 

Beginner Lessons: $60 per person.

Lessons will last approximately 2 hours.
All supplies will be provided.
Name will be entered into a door prize raffle.
Drinks and food will be available for purchase.

Open Play: $40 per table (4 seats).

Open play is for people who already know how to play mahjong.
Table and chairs provided.
Game supplies NOT provided.
Name will be entered into a door prize raffle.
Drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Required: Bring your NMJL 2024 card.
