Lost Egyptian Treasures: The James F. Ruffin Lecture Series at Rhodes College

“Rome’s Lost Egyptian Treasure’s and How to Find Them”

Thursday, November 10th  at 6 p.m. Dr. Stephanie Pearson will present The James F. Ruffin Lecture in the Fine Arts at Rhodes in Blount Auditorium in Buckman Hall on the Rhodes College campus. I’ve included a link to our campus map here to assist with finding the lecture’s location.

Dr. Pearson has been teaching, researching, translating, and leading tours in the archaeological collections of Berlin, Germany for ten years. Her cultural project, museums.love, draws on this expertise to offer a personal guided experience of museums worldwide both live and online. Dr. Pearson received her Ph.D. in the History of Art of University of California, Berkley.

Her lecture, “Rome’s Lost Egyptian Treasure’s and How to Find Them” will examine the complex role of Egyptian art in Roman Life. This lecture is free and open to the public. I’ve attached a campus map for anyone who is interested in attending.
