Library Love is Permanent

Show your love for the library with some ink as the Memphis Public Libraries and Memphis Library Foundation host an adult AND kid-friendly event on National Tattoo Day, July 17! Local tattoo artists from Trilogy and Bluff City Tattoo are offering their book-themed tattoos, while temporary tattoos and henna art will be available for those not looking for permanent ink! We’ll also feature an exhibit to learn the history of tattooing around the world.

Come to the Central Library between noon to 8 p.m. (last tattoos will start by 7 p.m.) and choose from our flash of book-themed tattoo designs. Each tattoo costs $100 with all proceeds supporting MPL programming! Sessions should take no longer than an hour. Temporary tattoos and henna are offered by request with a suggested donation.
