Memphis, TN — May 2025 — Darts Productions, in collaboration with La Quinta Enmienda Teatro, is proud to present Leyendas, a powerful theatrical production that brings to life the stories of three women who are fundamental to the collective memory of Colombia. The play will be performed on June 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m., and June 29 at 3:00 p.m., at Hattiloo Theatre (37 S Cooper St, Memphis, TN).
Written and directed by Carlos López, Leyendas intertwines the political, social, and cultural struggles of these women, revealing a vibrant legacy of courage, dignity, and freedom. Through a symbolic and emotionally charged staging—enriched with traditional music, poetry, and visual elements—the play becomes a living tribute to a history that is not always told, but still resonates in the voices and memories of those who refuse to be silenced.
“Leyendas is not just a play; it’s an evocation of resistance, a celebration of the female voices that have shaped our history but have long been silenced,” says Carlos López.
