Laugh At Our Stuff: TV Pilot Reading and Comedy Short Films
The Bluff City Liars present “Laugh At Our Stuff: TV Pilot and Comedy Short Films” an evening of comedy that’s not stand-up. You can sit down! Others will also sit down. And in the first part of the event, they will perform for you a reading of the “most amazing, People’s Choice Award-probable, life-changing, money-increasing, emotionally growth-oriented comedy sitcom pilot you’ve never heard of” – Roger Ebert In Heaven (Probably). The pilot, written by Joseph Thomas and Patty King, will go out for sale soon and we are looking for brutal feedback from our friends and/or enemies and/or the apathetic! All are welcome.
The second half of the event is a mini comedy short-film fest curated by Patty King and featuring hilarious, laugh-out-loud, seductive, embarrassing, public and mostly visible comedy short films made by local filmmakers from our very own 901 in the last year or two bc who is counting.
We will have the following: beers- local and exotic, hard seltzers, maybe some twisted teas, who knows? We have not bought it yet! But we promise alcohol and you can take that to the bank! We are trying to rustle up some snacks and we’re good at this so you can trust there might be snacks as well. Bring a pencil if you have one but do not flaunt it. We will provide the paper. Tip your bartender! And thank you for being our friends and attending our event in advance. We will see you there! At the Evergreen Theater!!! Which we definitely did not forget to mention until just now.
