Juneteenth Festival

.  A day of events: 1) a re-enactment of the first Juneteenth event that took place in Galveston TX; 2) talent displays of music, singing, dancing, poetry reading, drum corps; etc., 3) a living memorial of people who display black resistance now and then; and 4) local vendors selling works of arts, crafts, clothing, and food. Admission is free.
