Iris Collective’s “Dali Quartet” to Perform March 17

At 7:30 pm on Friday, March 17 at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center Iris Collective will present the award-winning Dalí Quartet accompanied by Cuban-born Memphis percussionist Nelson Rodriguez from Cazateatro in a concert fusing classical and Latin music. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 day of the event, and can be purchased here.

 

The Dalí Quartet is acclaimed for bringing Latin American quartet repertoire to an equal standing alongside the Classical and Romantic canon. All four musicians are also members of Iris Collective and include viola Adriana Lianares and cello Jesús A. Morales, with Iris since 2017; second violin Carlos Rubio, with Iris since 2013; and first violin Ari Isaacman-Beck, with Iris since 2021. Rubio also serves as Iris Collective’s personnel manager.
