Intro to Photography

Calling all young creatives! In this fun and interactive workshop, participants will explore photography essentials like composition, lighting, and visual storytelling. This program is perfect for beginners ready to go beyond auto mode.

Led by professional photographer Ashley Isbell of Smash Studios Photography, our September local business spotlight, this session will help participants see the world through a new lens and capture it with confidence.

Ashley will introduce participants to the fundamentals of photography in a fun, easy-to-understand way. Topics include:

Using your camera or smartphone beyond auto mode

Basic composition: how to frame a subject and create visually pleasing images

Lighting tips: working with natural light to make photos pop

Visual storytelling: how to tell a story through pictures

Participants should bring a camera to use such as a smartphone, handheld digital, or DSLR.
Recommended for ages 10-17.
