Guided Nature Walk: Meet the Pollinators!

Pollinating insects come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Creating even small spaces filled with native plants can attract hundreds of species.

Join Overton Park Conservancy’s Stewardship Manager Fields Falcone and the Xerces Society’s Pollinator Conservation Specialist Jennifer Payne to learn about some of the over 300 insect species that have visited Overton Park’s pollinator garden in Veterans Plaza over the last two summers.

We’ll talk about creating the gardens, working with volunteers and our partners at the Memphis Zoo, monitoring monarch populations, and some of the fun things we’ve learned while watching pollinators at work. Plus, we’ll check out the plants and see what’s buzzing!

This program will be held at Veterans Plaza in Overton Park on accessible pavement surfaces.
