Fright-Tober Halloween Film Series: Young Frankenstein

“Young Frankenstein,” released in 1974 and directed by Mel Brooks, is a comedic homage to classic horror films. The story follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, the grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, who initially rejects his family’s legacy. However, he eventually returns to his ancestral castle and, inspired by his grandfather’s experiments, decides to continue the work of reanimating the dead. With the help of quirky assistants, Frederick creates a new monster, leading to a series of humorous and bizarre events. The film is celebrated for its clever writing, iconic performances, and affectionate spoof of the original Frankenstein films.
