Free Men’s Health Fair in Memphis Brings Together Community Partners for Men’s Health
West Cancer Foundation, Man 2 Man Prostate Cancer Group, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church-Care Counseling Ministry, and Men’s Health Network will come together to host the Men’s Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Gymnasium.

The free community event is designed to increase access to preventive healthcare, education and support services for men across the Mid-South, with a focus on prostate cancer awareness, mental health, and early detection.

This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to removing barriers to care and expanding access to education, screenings and supportive resources throughout the Mid-South. Together, the partnering organizations work to connect individuals with preventive care and wellness services while reinforcing the importance of compassionate, whole-person health support both inside and outside the exam room.

“Prostate cancer is highly treatable when caught early, yet too many men delay care or miss routine screening due to preventable barriers,” said West Cancer President Leighanne Soden. “This collaborative effort reflects a shared commitment to bringing education, screenings, and support directly into the community so individuals have the opportunity to take charge of their health in a setting that is accessible and welcoming.

Attendees will have access to prostate health testing provided by the Prostate Cancer Education Council through a simple blood draw, as well as additional health screenings from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center – College of Nursing, including blood pressure, vision and BMI checks.

Additional community and healthcare organizations will be onsite sharing information and resources related to prostate cancer, mental health, Alzheimer’s disease, kidney disease, patient services and overall wellness. Healthy snacks and beverages will also be available throughout the event.

Local sports broadcaster Jarvis Greer will emcee the event and share his personal prostate cancer journey. Dr. Walter Rayford of The Urology Group, P.C. will speak on the importance of early detection, advancements in prostate cancer care and answer questions from attendees.

The event is presented by West Cancer Foundation, Man 2 Man Prostate Cancer Group, Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church – Care Counseling Ministry and Men’s Health Network, with additional support from BayerDendreon and ZERO Prostate Cancer.

The event is finished.
