Film Screening: Bluff City Chinese

On Thursday, January 30, at 5:30 PM, the Dixon Gallery & Gardens will host a screening of Bluff City Chinese, a documentary exploring the untold history of Chinese American immigrants in Memphis. A standout at the Indie Memphis Film Festival, the film observes the complex nature of crafting historical narratives from scratch and explores how a yearning for identity can bring generations of people together to break ground for a more hopeful future.
Following the screening, a Q&A with some of the film’s creators will be led by Sarah Dehena, Outreach Instructor and Program Coordinator for Indie Memphis.

The event is finished.
