Film Screening and Community Conversation
Safety is not just the absence of harm, it’s the presence of love, care, and community. And right now, we have an opportunity to reimagine what public safety can truly mean for our city.
Join us on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the MOSH Theatre Room for a powerful screening of The Work, an award-winning documentary that takes us inside Folsom State Prison, where men both incarcerated and free come together for deep healing and transformation.
As we continue the work of The BIG We: In This Place, Season 8, themed “Imagine Memphis,” we invite you to dream and plan with us as we explore new ways to create safety for the 650,000+ residents of Memphis. This is about more than policy. It’s about people. It’s about how we show up for one another, how we heal, and how we build a future where safety, joy, love, and abundance are not just ideals, but everyday realities.
Following the screening, we’ll engage in a heartfelt discussion about Reimagining Policing in Memphis, the role of community in public safety, and how we can work together to build a city that truly reflects our values.
Let’s come together, Memphis. Let’s imagine and create something better.
