Exhibition Opening Party – As It Is, As It Could Be

Urevbu Contemporary returns for yet another ever-evolving and exciting art exhibition during Black History month while bringing dynamic art from Africa and the Diaspora to the forefront!! 

The gallery is pleased to present As It Is, As It Could Be, a solo exhibition featuring new paintings by Ethiopian artist Dereje Demissie. Demissie’s paintings explore issues of history, memory, and humanity’s place in both the natural, physical, and cultural landscapes. In this introspective new body of work represented in As It Is, As It Could Be, Demissie considers the relationship between the human psyche and greater ecological processes.  The public opening is Sat. Feb 4 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
