Cossitt Library Silent Book Club
Looking for a cozy, no-pressure way to enjoy reading and connect with others? Welcome to ‘Silent Book Club’, where there’s no assigned reading, no deadlines, and the party starts as soon as you bring a book you’re excited to read (or find one here at the library).
Whether you’re an avid reader, just getting back into books, or simply want a peaceful hour to yourself, you’re welcome here – no registration or small talk required.
Each Silent Book Club (SBC) meeting includes:
- 30 minutes – Arrive, grab a seat, find a book, and chat if you’d like
- 1 hour – Silent reading time (pure bliss)
- 30 minutes – Share recommendation or keep reading – totally up to you
Not sure what to read? Grab a Children’s or Young Adult book! They expose us to imaginative thinking, creativity, and childlike reflection without the pressure of a dense and lengthy read.
(SBC) is part of a global community with 300+ chapters around the world. We’re excited to bring that spirit to our local library and welcome you to be a part of it.
