Celebrate What’s Right: Public Space for Common Good
Every city has varied civic assets — parks, libraries, trails, museums, community centers, and more — but great cities understand the potential for magnetic, animated urban public space. Shared public spaces can connect people of all backgrounds, cultivate trust, and create more economically and environmentally resilient communities. How do local government, private developers, the nonprofit community, and community members come together to create spaces that build a sense of community, prosperity, and sustainability for all Memphians? During this conversation, moderated by Barbara R. Hyde, Memphis leaders will discuss how we are innovating new and better ways to design, operate, and manage public spaces.
