Join us for an Afro- Puerto Rican Bomba Dance Workshop with “Las Bompleneras Unplugged from Chicago. Audiences will experience the Afro-Latino culture and music. Our Special Guest is “@BomPleneras, Las Bompleneras is an all-women group led by Ivelisse Diaz est. in 2010 from Chicago. Dedicated to uplifting & bringing visibility to the role & power of women in Afro-Puerto Rican Bomba y Plena.

*Bomba is both a traditional dance and musical style of Puerto Rico. Its origins are rooted in the island’s history of African slavery, but today has evolved into a community expression of Afro-Puerto Rican culture.
