Bitchbopz Anniversary Party

Bitchbopz, the powerhouse community dedicated to amplifying femmes in the music industry, is celebrating a whole year of growth, creativity, and community with an unforgettable anniversary party on Saturday, April 5th at Ugly Art Co. This year’s celebration will kick off with an exciting showcase of local women artists, creators, and vendors, with music, art, and performances that promise to highlight the unique voices of femmes in the local music scene.

The celebration promises an immersive experience with art, food, live music, and interactive moments, all centered around community, inclusivity, and femme empowerment.

The festivities will begin at 5:00 pm, with art vendors, food trucks, a mocktail station, a button-making station, photo ops, tarot readings, and more. The Bitchbopz anniversary party will offer something for everyone:

• Vendors: Featuring 20 local artists, creators, and makers
• Food Trucks
• Candy Bar: Sweet Noshings
• Mocktails: Memphis Whistle
• Fun Commemorative Stations: Button-making, goodie bags, affirmations wall, and a chill corner
• Live DJs: DJs Shai, Dosi, Rosami, and Jah spinning throughout the event

In addition to the interactive fun, attendees can enjoy a birthday celebration with drag queens and a fashion show from 7:30 pm – 8:00 pm, followed by performances from four live bands from 8-11:45PM!

“Our goal has always been to create a space where femmes in music can feel supported, celebrated, and empowered,” says Ashley Koehler, founder of Bitchbopz. “This anniversary party is a reflection of that vision, and we’re so excited to showcase the talents and hard work of our community. We can’t wait to bring everyone together and keep pushing the culture forward.”

The anniversary event will include:

• A curated lineup of local art vendors, including jewelry, clothing, and visual art creators
• Live music performances by femmes and femmes of color from the local scene
• A cozy space for attendees to mingle, network, and celebrate
