An Evening of Ellington: Memphis Honors Living Jazz Legacy

Memphis comes together for a powerful evening honoring the legacy of Duke Ellington during International Jazz Month.

“An Evening of Ellington” brings The Savoy Ellingtons, children of Duke Ellington, to Memphis for a rare and meaningful tribute alongside a 100-piece student orchestra and some of the city’s most talented young musicians.

Featuring a special performance by Memphis native and world-renowned vocalist Wendy Moten, and led by legendary conductor H.B. Barnum, this event bridges generations through music, culture, and history.

This is more than a concert. It is a moment of legacy, education, and community connection.
