Ales for Alzheimer’s 2022
That’s right, it’s time for another Ales for Alzheimer’s benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association. And this year’s fundraiser will be downtown at The Arcade on Friday, October 21!
It’s important that we place safety above all. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after the event. We also recommend you have a designated driver or use a shared driving service such as Uber or Lyft. Do NOT drive drunk. Be safe!
“What time does the event start? And where should I walk in?”
Check-in begins at 6 p.m. Use The Arcade’s side entrance on South Main, where I will check you in. You must bring your I.D. to prove you are over 21 years old (no exceptions). Once you check-in, you will receive a purple wristband – as well as a welcome beer. Please be mindful of other events going on downtown because parking may be limited.
“How’s the pouring going to work?”
We have more than 100 beers from across the country, even from parts of Europe, which means we know everyone is excited to see the complete menu before the event (it’s coming!). We will have three (3) pouring stations, and we will release/crack open new beers every 30 minutes. Our volunteers will pour the beer, so you don’t over-serve yourself and as many as people as possible can try a beer. Please note, however, we cannot guarantee you will be able to try everything due to the rarity of the beers.
“Will there be food?”
Yes, The Arcade is donating all of the food, and there will be plenty of it. Thank you again to Jeff Zepatos and his team!
“What about water?”
We have cases of bottled water for you, as well as water at the pouring stations. We’ll also have buckets to dump anything you don’t like or need to wash your glass.
“What about the silent auction?”
Another way to support us! When you check-in, there will be a silent auction area to your left. We have more than $2,000 in great prizes up for grabs. Check out other posts in this event to view them! We will end the silent auction at 8:30 p.m. sharp.
That’s it for now. If you want to secure your Ales for Alzheimer’s ticket, make a $100 donation through this link: http://act.alz.org/goto/WesMilligan.
