Africa in April Cultural Awareness Festival

Africa In April Cultural Awareness Festival: This is a four-day festival held annually in Memphis to celebrate the rich and diverse cultures of Africa. This year, the 37th anniversary of the festival will be held from April 19th to 21st, 2024, on the Internationally famous Beale Street & Robert Church Park. The festival is a great opportunity to learn about African history, traditions, and customs. Attendees can enjoy a variety of authentic African foods, listen to traditional and contemporary African music, watch dance performances, browse through exhibits featuring African art and crafts, and learn about different African countries from Gambian representatives. There are also activities for children, such as storytelling and arts and crafts workshops.
