2025 Books from Birth Spring Luncheon presented by Porter-Leath

Porter-Leath’s 2025 Books from Birth Spring Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 8 at the FedEx Event Center at Shelby Farms to celebrate 20 years of advancing early literacy in Shelby County. Presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, the luncheon honors the impact of the Books from Birth program, which has mailed over 8 million free books to local children since 2005. The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Mario Brown of First Horizon and recognize Dr. Angela Nichols with the A C Wharton, Jr. Literacy Award for her leadership in promoting literacy.
