
2022 FREEDOM AWARD
The National Civil Rights Museum presents The Freedom Award, which honors individuals who have dedicated their lives to the advancement of civil and human rights. The 2022 Freedom Award honorees are Taylor Branch, Isabel Wilkerson, and Frederick W. Smith. They represent impactful storytellers and changemakers in the ongoing pursuit of civil and human rights domestically and internationally.
A Special Tribute will be presented to Jeffery Robinson who is an outspoken activist, former ACLU lawyer, and administrator. He is the founder of the Who We Are Project and producer of the documentary “Who We Are: The Chronicle of Racism in America.”
The award ceremony entertainment headliner is BeBe Winans. The host is actor, educator, activist, and entrepreneur, Lamman Rucker. More info at freedomaward.civilrightsmuseum.org.
