Photo: @nicolelawless

Memphians, let’s face it: Saying it gets “hot” here during the summer is a bit of an understatement. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t still enjoy all our city has to offer!

It’s time to put on your shorts, sandals, sunscreen, and try these suggestions below:

1. Grab a Paleta from La Michoacana

3. Booze & Cruise on the River City Pedalers Party Bike or the Midtown Party Bike

7. Take in the view from a rooftop

What could possibly beat a night time view of our beautiful skyline all the while enjoying delicious snacks and cooling off with signature cocktails? That’s right. Nothing! These rooftops offer spectacular views with tasty cocktails.

Feeling adventurous? Make your sno cone a “Supreme” by adding a bit of ice cream. I scream, you scream, we all scream for sno cones and ice scream! Tip: Don’t forget your cash, cards aren’t accepted.

9. Summer Drive-In Time Warp Movie Series

Nothing says summer like a drive-in, right? Check out this cool series of drive-in movies fit for a film buff, or an average Joe just looking to enjoy Friday night. Also, you can bring that Supreme from Jerry’s with you! Memphis offers several ways to watch movies that are outside of the box (office). See our complete list here.
