Memphis Changemakers Join Change Collective's Fall 2024 Cohort
Memphis continues to shine as a hub of innovation and community spirit, with 21 local leaders selected to join the prestigious Change Collective’s Fall 2024 Cohort. This initiative is all about empowering individuals who are dedicated to making Memphis an even better place to live, work, and thrive. By joining this national network of changemakers, these Memphians will gain the tools, connections, and knowledge they need to bring their visionary projects to life right here in our city.
How These Leaders Will Benefit Memphis
The Memphis cohort is a diverse group of passionate individuals, each with a unique vision for driving positive change in our community. For example, Dr. Mary McConner, a local entrepreneur and DEI expert, is leading efforts to close racial, wealth, and opportunity gaps through financial literacy and entrepreneurship education in underserved neighborhoods. This work has the potential to uplift entire communities, creating more opportunities and helping to break cycles of poverty.
Other cohort members are focusing on critical issues like educational equity, mental health, and community wellness. By addressing these challenges head-on, they are paving the way for a brighter future for all Memphians. Their projects are designed to bring people together, build stronger neighborhoods, and create lasting solutions that benefit everyone.
