Did you know Da Sammich Spot in Memphis, TN has a Resource and Entrepreneurship Hub?

Mane I’m not just building a restaurant.
I’m really building something I needed when I was trying to figure out how to become somebody new.
A lot of people see Da Sammich Spot and think it’s just food.
Sandwiches. Wraps. Wings. Fries. Pies. Good vibes.
And yeah, we got all that.
But to me, this is much bigger than that.

This came from pain.
This came from survival.
This came from being counted out and still having to wake up every day and figure out how to keep going.
This came from knowing what it feels like to need help but not know where to go.
Knowing what it feels like to have talent, ideas, ambition, and hustle but no real access, no structure, no resources, no blueprint, and sometimes nobody around you that really knows how to help you build it the right way.

I know what it feels like to be trying to change while the world keeps reminding you of who you used to be.
I know what it feels like to be more than your worst chapter, but still have to prove that over and over again.
So I decided I wasn’t just about to rebuild my own life.

I wanted to build something that could help other people rebuild theirs too.
That’s why Da Sammich Spot was never meant to just be a sandwich shop.
The food is the front door.
But the mission is way bigger.

The restaurant feeds people.
The Resource Hub connects people.
The Entrepreneur Hub helps people build.
The catering helps fund the mission.
And the community is what keeps it alive.

Because I really don’t believe people in our community lack talent.
I believe too many people lack access.
They lack space.
They lack information.
They lack structure.
They lack a fair shot.
They lack somebody saying, “Mane I see something in you. Let’s figure out how to build it.”
That’s what I’m trying to create.

A place where somebody can come get lunch and leave with a resource.
A place where a vendor can put their product on a shelf and start learning business for real.
A place where somebody who made mistakes can still work, grow, learn, and be treated like their future still matters.
A place where corporate/catering partners can do more than just order lunch. They can help fund jobs, entrepreneurs, programs, second chances, and real community work right here in Memphis.
A place where we stop just talking about supporting each other and actually start building something together.

I’ve had chapters in my life that could’ve ended the whole story.
But they didn’t.
The universe had something else planned.
Pressure had something else planned.
Pain had something else planned.
Purpose had something else planned.
And I’m not ashamed of where I came from or my past.
I’m building from it.

Every mistake taught me something.
Every setback added new language.
Every closed door showed me what kind of door I needed to build.
Every season I had to survive gave me a blueprint for somebody else.

So this ain’t just about sandwiches.
This is about second chances.
This is about ownership.
This is about community.
This is about giving people a place to start.
This is about taking everything that was supposed to break me and turning it into something that can help somebody else grow.

That’s what this is.
Da Sammich Spot is the base.
The Resource Hub is the connection point.
The Entrepreneur Hub is the growth engine.
The community is the reason.
And me?
I’m just somebody who decided my second chance couldn’t stop with me.

It had to become a place.
It had to become a platform.
It had to become proof.
Proof that people can change.
Proof that community can build.
Proof that survival can turn into strategy.
Proof that one comeback story can open the door for more.

So when you support Da Sammich Spot, you’re not just buying food.
You’re helping build jobs.
You’re helping build entrepreneurs.
You’re helping build community resources.
You’re helping build a second-chance model.
You’re helping build the change we all want for Memphis.
It’s so much bigger than sandwiches.
This is food, opportunity, ownership, community, and second chances. This is a Black Owned Community Ecosystem.
And we’re really just getting started.
