When it comes to art, metalwork is not often at the forefront of conversation. But, the Metal Museum is reshaping this idea and metal.
The Metal Museum plans to host its 4th annual Cosmic Trunk Show on March 21st, from 10 am till 5 pm. This exhibit will showcase jewelry, sculptures, and home goods created by Tennessee Craft-Southwest artists who use metalwork as a catalyst for their artistic expression.
Metal Museum not only presents magical metal art, but it is also home to the crafting of metalwork. You can watch artists work, learn how to manipulate metal, and create your own piece of art.
Admission to the Cosmic Trunk Show is free and cosmos will be available to purchase along side snacks from Stick ’em! Food Truck. While you are there you can see two other ongoing exhibitions: J. Fred Woell: Art is an Accident and Tributaries: Vivian Beer.
