I don’t know about you, but I like to spend my Saturdays by finding a mix of fun + productive things to do around the city. There are almost always errands to be run, so I try to find something in the neighborhood of where I need to run errands that can add a spark of joy to my getting-things-done. Follow along with me on my ideal Saturday in Memphis!

7:30 AM – Wake up, enjoy a walk around my neighborhood and Avon Park with my dog. Say hi to all of our neighbor friends and doggy friends.
8:30 AM – Head out the door for coffee + breakfast at Kinfolk in Harbor Town.
What are we ordering? Well, friend you quite literally can’t go wrong. I’m ordering a cold brew and a chicken biscuit, add cheese, with a side of oatmeal (just trust me).
10:00 AM – Now that we’ve had breakfast, we’re ready for the rest of our day. Aaaaand since we’re right next door, seems like the perfect time to treat ourselves to a mani at Nail Bar!
Noon – Breakfast ✅ Nails ✅ Next up: lunch. Since we had a good breakfast, we’re looking for a lighter lunch. I’m thinking a salad from Cheffies in High Point Terrace. And let’s sit on the patio since it’s such a beautiful day.
2:00 PM – For the afternoon, I need to run a few errands. I have a friend’s birthday coming up and I need to get her a gift. I want something thoughtful and fun, and I think Pickering Boxwood will have just the thing.
3:00 PM – Next, I need to pick up next month’s book club read on my way home. So we’re stopping by Novel.
4:30 PM – As usual, got a little carried away at Novel, but you can never have too many books right? Now we’re going to spend the next couple of hours reading on the couch (and… probably dozing off for a little while).
6:30 PM – Time for dinner. Tonight, we’re headed to one of my favorites, Hog & Hominy. You gotta try the Thunderbird!
8:30 PM – It’s already getting late for this early bird, but before we head home we gotta get some dessert. It’s a little out of the way but… I gotta have some edible cookie dough from Milk Dessert Bar. Or maybe I want a milkshake? Or some cheesecake…?
9:30 PM – After a FULL day of fun around the 901, I’m ready for lights out. Gonna wind down while we watch the last half of the Grizzlies game.
And that’s a wrap!
