Now is the Time. Memphis is the Place.

Choose901 Thanks Partner Interns

Photos by Ruthie

This past Saturday night, our staff took the opportunity to throw a party for 150 college students who are investing their summer in Memphis.

We gathered at the Farmer’s Market Pavilion for a grill out with the interns from Service Over Self, MTR Camp, and Campus Outreach’s 901 Project. The group was thanked and encouraged by Reggie Davis, Executive Director of Streets Ministries. As the sun began to set, we had everyone join us on the rooftop for a dance party with DJ JD Wilson, who is working on the leadership team with MTR Camp.

We’ve seen many college students intern in Memphis for a summer and quickly fall in love with the city and invest a longer season of life here.  These are interns with great community values that seek to not just consume, but seek to create and cultivate for the benefit of others!  That exemplifies leadership!

Take for instance Sarah Brubaker who began Ekata Designs after first being part of SOS Summer Staff:

Know a college student who should invest their 2016 Summer in Memphis?  Have them connect with MTR Camp, SOS, or Campus Outreach!
