Today Old Dominick Distillery announced that Memphis chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman (of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, Hog & Hominy, Porcellino’s, and Catherine & Mary’s) will be opening a new restaurant concept in the 5,000-square foot space, on the north side of the facility, where 100-year old warehouse windows look out over the Mississippi River.
This new restaurant, called The Gray Canary, will offer a unique dining experience and is expected to open in Janurary 2018. More details will be announced soon.
Ticer and Hudman, graduates of Johnson & Wales University in Charleston are partners in New Orleans’ restaurant Josephine Estelle. They were finalists for this year’s James Beard Foundation Awards’ Best Chef Southeast and were Food & Wine magazine’s Best New Chefs in 2013.
