Cast Your Votes for LITE Memphis’ Virtual Pitch Contest & RSVP For LITE Pitch Night

LITE Memphis’ programming may look a little different this year, but their providing of a platform for young Memphians to share entrepreneurial ideas remains the same. Changing the community is no feat too big for our youth, and local teens have dreamed up ways to make Memphis better. Now it’s up to you to decide which one shines brighter than the rest to determine the winner of the LITE Virtual Pitch Contest.

You’ve got til this Friday, May 15th, to cast your vote to determine who’s going to win the Virtual Pitch Contest. Voting is being held on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, and likes count as votes—so click carefully!

And so you don’t have to go off searching for where to cast your votes, we’ve placed everything below, so there’s no room for errors or excuses!

Pitch 1: Eric Loveberry (12th Grade, Memphis Academy of Health Science)

To combat teen deaths, Eric has pitched Lifelet, a bracelet equipped with tracking, heart rate monitoring, and SOS capabilities.

Pitch 2: Lesley Castro (12th Grade, Memphis School of Excellence)

In an effort to reduce litter that collects in various communities, Lesley has proposed employing high schoolers to keep Memphis clean.

Pitch 3: Greyson Edwards (12th Grade)

Ah cereal, a simple yet superior category of eats. Well, Greyson has dreamed up a spot for cereal lovers to unite, even those of you who are lactose intolerant.

Pitch 4: Olivia Ensor (9th Grade, East High)

Internet access is now more important than ever, and Olivia has a solution to bring free wifi access to all. That solution is SkyFi.

P.S. The Virtual Pitch Contest may be coming to an end this week, but come May 21st, 30 high school students from across the Mid-South will be making a big step towards fulfilling their entrepreneurial dreams. LITE Pitch Night is making a comeback with a virtual twist, and you’re invited to tune it to decide which talented teen will receive additional funding to bring their dreams to reality!
