Carolina Watershed Launches Free Adult Sports League

Where there’s a big open field next to a bar, you’ve got the makings of a successful adult sports league. The only way to make it better is to make it free. Oh, wait.

Carolina Watershed is launching the Memphis Adult Sports League at Carolina Field. If you’ve wanted to play recreational sports but can’t commit to participating regularly, and furthermore don’t want to pay for a thing you’ll only do sporadically, then this is right up your alley.

The league plans to assign players to teams based on the neighborhood you live in the Memphis metro area. They’re hoping that by building large neighborhood-centric teams, it’ll give players the flexibility to skip a weekend and still have a solid lineup. There will be optional neighborhood-centric team jerseys available for purchase. League participation is free because they’re anticipating a boost in sales for both Carolina Watershed and Loflin Yard from post-game socializing.

Memphis Adult Sports League is partnering with Grind City Athletics for game scheduling and results tracking. Games will be played Friday through Sunday of every weekend, beginning March 22, and will culminate in a championship weekend beginning June 1.
