There’s a new event in the works that wants to flood “America’s most iconic street,” with local art and art buyers.
The inaugural Beale Street Art Crawl is scheduled for October 20th, and submissions are now open for artists to participate as vendors.
The event is being managed by the nonprofit Dear Music with support from Downtown Memphis Commission. Dear Music’s mission is to “provide positive community events centered on cultural enrichment, performance and visual arts, and community engagement.”
Beale Street Art Crawl welcomes artists of all mediums and various styles and aesthetics from Memphis, Nashville and surrounding areas. Organizers are working to establish this as a quarterly event to help artists reach a new consumer base, increase visibility, and have the opportunity to become a merchant on historic Beale Street for a day.
To be considered, email your full name, phone number, and images of your work along with descriptions of art and process, social links and website if applicable to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for submissions is September 15th.
