Bring It Food Hub has added more goods, more services, and new branding to represent the growth in harvest shares from 60 season shares last year to more than 200 shares this year already. With that growth, Bring It has launched a home-delivery service in Midtown alongside add-on shares and cooking classes to benefit the Pay It Forward program offered by Bring It.
“Gardening isn’t for everyone, but fresh produce is. We want to make Bring It Food Hub as convenient and accessible as possible to all Memphians.” – Bring It Food Hub Executive Director Carol Colter.
In addition to weekly produce shares, share add-ons will be available including bread, eggs, cheese, and fresh-cut flowers. You can choose subscriptions on a monthly or a season-long basis from May through November. You can also pick up your produce at one of the more than three dozen weekly pick-up locations across Memphis. And if you live in Midtown, you can enjoy delivery right to your door.
The Pay It Forward Program brings fresh produce on a weekly basis to food insecure homes. Cooking classes which begin in May and are twice monthly will benefit the Pay It Forward Program. So you can learn how to be a better cook while helping those in need.
