Today Loeb Properties announced a new restaurant coming to Overton Square at 2110 Madison Avenue (formerly Schweinehaus/Stanley’s BBQ). BOGARD restaurant will be opening 3,790 sf space with plans to begin construction in the next month.
BOGARD will serve contempory southern-inspired dishes and hand-crafted cocktails in a unique Memphis dining experience. The acornym BOGARD stands for ‘Buying One Gives Another Rare Dish’. For every meal purchased, another meal will be provided for a person in need through a strategic partnership with the Mid-South Food Bank.
Edward Bogard is the founder and philanthropic mind behind SoGiv, the world’s first non-profit shoe design company and donates 100% of its proceeds to over twenty charitable foundations. BOGARD is also co-owned by NBA coach Lionel Hollins and Preston Butts, Jr., who were inspired to partner with the project by Edward Bogard’s message and dedication to giving back.
BOGARD has hired experienced restaurateurs Ed Cabagiao (Zaka Bowl, SOB) and Ben McLean (Catfish & Caviar, Belly Acres) as operating managers for the new business.
